= Cognitive Radio Network Testbed (CORNET) =
The Virginia Tech CORNET is a collection of high performance servers, unique and extremely flexible RF hardware, and software-defined radio architectures.  The CORNET graduate students and staff have integrated these pieces into a resource for next-generation wireless system developers around the world to rapidly prototype, extensively test, and compare Cognitive Radio techniques, Software-Defined Radio components, and Dynamic Spectrum Access technologies on a larger scale that is outside of the traditional simulation environment.

== Primary Testbed Characteristics ==
CORNET has many attributes that make it a unique resource for wireless system developers.  

 * 48 Software-Defined Radio nodes
 * RF portion based upon the Universal Software Radio Peripheral 2 (USRP2)
 * Custom developed USRP2 daughterboard based on the Motorola RFIC4
 * High performance servers for signal processing tasks
 * Distributed node topology throughout the Virginia Tech ICTAS research building
 * Web-based reservation system for easy access to testbed schedule and reservations
 * Remotely accessible for anyone to enjoy!
